Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Chula Vista will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in California usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Frutas at (619) 271-1999; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, frutas100natural.com.
Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 205 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Chula Vista is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Chula Vista is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Grabbed a $13 torta today and asked for some salsa. Woman told me that there are jalapeños on my torta, (i guess she though that was spicy enough?) Anyway, I said I still wanted salsa and she said it was extra! $.50. Really? Can't get Salsa for a $13 torta? Try another place.

Freshest Açaì bowls ever. Homemade taste to their breakfast menu. The breakfast burritos could use a pinch of salt/seasoning.

Terrible customer service, it was my first time visiting the place and when I asked options I was only told to see the menu, with a very bad attitude the lady who is at the counter, my first and last time!

The place is always clean, also the staff it’s really nice, and about the food, delicious, if you’re really hungry try the torta in any variation, you’ll get full and also the taste it’s exquisite, also if you get when they’re about to close, you have a probability to get a free soup👀

I'm so excited they have opened up so close to my work. Everything is so fresh and tastes amazing. The acai bowl was the perfect size (definitely bigger than it seems) and packed with banana and strawberries. They even put the honey on top of the acai instead of on top of the fruit like most places do, which can make a mess sometimes, so I appreciate that. It's the little things. The multigreen juice was great. And the ham torta with panela was delicious and big! The staff is super friendly. This will be my go-to lunch spot.
